Goldfield Mining Town and Holly's Visit

Brian's sister Holly was able to stay over with us for a few days this past weekend and we decided to venture out to Goldfield's Mining Town.  It was a fun short trip to the town, but it was something different and that was nice.   We had a nice gun fight while we were there, but poor Sam hated it.  She just can not handle loud noises.  She cried and cried while Kate kept pulling away while I was trying to cover her ears.

Below are also a few pictures of Katelyn showing her sisterly love.  She is so affectionate and loves to give Sam hugs whether she likes it or not.

Katelyn's 1st Birthday

Katelyn's first birthday was held out our house and it sure was full.  We loved having everyone over to celebrate her special day.  This party made me realize I really need to work on my cake making abilities.  Something I plan to spend more time on as soon as I finish school.

Christmas in Arizona

This year we had a full house just like last year, which I love.  It was fun to have everyone come over and hang out for the day and spend time together.   The girls loved Christmas morning....well mostly Sam.  She loved opening all the presents including ones that were not hers  She ripped through 5 nights of wrapping gifts in 20 minutes.  It was hard to watch, plus it happened so fast that I don't think I am in any of the photos.  Maybe next year we will be able to get her to slow down.  :)   Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!

Sami's First Day of School

Samantha started her first day of Preschool today.  You would have never known it was January.  We had wonderful 70 degree temperatures and it was so bright out.  She never skipped a beat when we dropped her off, she didn't notice that we watched for bit and talked with the teacher or when we left.  She is such an independant little girl.  Grandma picked her up from school and took her to McDonalds afterwards and then I picked her up later and she loved it all.  (I started school again today as well).  Sami said she had fun, but she wouldn't talk a lot about what actually happened at school.  She still won't tell us much, but I am sure she was a bit overwhelmed.

Piggies and Paws Photos

Here are pictures of the Piggies and Paws art we had done when Samantha was turned one.  I can't wait to have Kates done as well.  I think it is so creative and fun.  Hope you are all able to make the party!
